The old soul takes the road again.
I hold that when a
person dies
His soul returns again
to earth;
Arrayed in some new
flesh-disguise,
Another mother gives
him birth.
With sturdier limbs
and brighter brain
The old soul takes the
road again.
Such is my own belief
and trust;
This hand, this hand
that holds the pen
Has many a hundred
times been dust
And turned, as dust to
dust again;
These eyes of mine
have blinked and shone
In Thebes,
in Troy, in Babylon....

RIP: Louise L. Hay
Author, publisher, healer, metaphysical counselor, Louise L. Hay, passed away this morning at the age of 90. I've had this 1984 book of Louise Hay's since 1987, at that time 19th printing with over 400,000 copies sold. It's a classic best-seller and now 50 million copies have been sold. In 1985, she began her support group for AIDs patients. In 1987, she founded her publishing company, Hay House, which has grown into a very successful publishing company which has sold millions of books and products, featuring many well-known authors of works on healing, self-help, and inspiration. Hay House has offices in California, New York, London, Sydney, Johannesburg, and New Delhi.
Don and I meet her once, and twice heard her speak. She was inspirational and her affirmations have been helpful to many in grief, illness, and life's ups and downs. She leaves with us quite a legacy.

Journey to the Heart: Exploring the World of Spirit
Published today in Amazon Print and Kindle
Journey to the Heart
Welcome to the wonderful world of spirit. Woven throughout this book is a broad
spectrum of spiritual concepts, including three powerful spiritual principles
given to us by a marvelous, witty, and loving spirit guide, Dr. James Martin
Peebles.
His three spiritual principles are valuable spiritual
ideas easily incorporated into daily life. These principles allow one to attain
love, healing, peace, and joy, along with meaningful and satisfying relationships.
Contemporary thoughts about life and death, and the
survival of love and consciousness following the release of the physical body, may
make grieving and healing easier for many.
Linda Pendleton is the author of numerous books,
including A Walk Through Grief: Crossing
the Bridge Between Worlds; Three Principles of Angelic Wisdom; To Dance With
Angels, and Whispers From the Soul:
The Divine Dance of Consciousness, written with her husband, Don
Pendleton.

Softly With Love: Communicating With Your Spirit Guides and Angels, new book
Softly With Love
Communicating With Your
Spirit Guides and Angels
We are never alone. We are
surrounded by the love and guidance of the Divine Source and spirit guides and
angels. You may discover how easily one can cross the spiritual bridge between
worlds and enrich life with love, guidance, healing, and wisdom.
Intuition is a Divine gift,
and may be enhanced by fine-tuning our innate psychic ability. It can serve as
a guiding force in our daily life. Learning to acknowledge and trust the
whispers that come to us from the spirit world, can be invigorating to our
sense of self as a spiritual being.
The veil between worlds continues to become more
transparent. Softly With Love
explores what is considered by some to be paranormal, while others consider the
experiences to be extraordinary and awe-inspiring, but within the norm of the
human experience. Dialogue with loved ones through the veil – be that your
guide, angel, or a deceased loved one, can be comforting. For many, the insight
that love survives the shedding of the physical body brings peace.
Linda Pendleton is the
author of numerous books, including A
Walk Through Grief: Crossing the Bridge Between Worlds; Three Principles of
Angelic Wisdom; To Dance With Angels, and Whispers From the Soul: The Divine Dance of Consciousness, written
with her husband, Don Pendleton.

What Then?
“What if you slept, and what if in your sleep you dreamed, and what if in your dream you went to heaven and there plucked a strange and beautiful flower, and what if when you awoke you had the flower in your hand? Ah, what then?”

How Thin the Veil! 150 Years of Spiritualism
Just published Now in Print. Also in Kindle and Audiobook
Many of us are still searching for answers about life: Who are we? Why are we here? What happens when we leave here? Will we see our loved ones again? And for some, the questions may be broader such as: Have I been here before? Will I return at some future point? Why did I come back?
In about 1850, Spiritualism reached a high interest and continued for a number of years, not only in America, but world-wide. The poets, philosophers, artists, politicians of the time, along with the ordinary man and woman, in surprising numbers came to accept spirit communication as a comforting and fulfilling life experience.
Within my new print book, How Thin The Veil! 150 Years of Spiritualism, you will read about the early days of Spiritualism and how it became a new era that brought with it a profound understanding of human destiny after death, and of the relationship between heaven and earth.
Many historical figures considered themselves Spiritualist, some more openly than others. One of our greatest Presidents, Abraham Lincoln communicated with spirit on the Other Side through mediums and referred to spirit as “our friends from the upper country.” It has often been said his writings and speeches were inspired by spirit, especially his Emancipation Proclamation.
The veil between worlds continues to grow thinner, communication is increasing, and part of the increase in communication may be a result of fear being released, and openness prevailing. Curiosity, yes, but probably more than that when intuition is allowed to have a role in everyday life.

Harriet Beecher Stowe and her Vision
Harriet Beecher Stowe, (1811-1896), American Author, Abolitionist
Supernormal powers do
not always connote formal mediumship or spectacular displays. Harriet Beecher Stowe once remarked that Uncle
Tom's Cabin was "given to her–it passed in vision before her. She had to tell it as it came, and suffered
in so doing." She had also attested
to her belief in spiritual forces. She
wrote, "One of the deepest and most imperative cravings of the human
heart, as it follows its beloved ones beyond the veil, is for some assurance
that they still love and care for us. They have overcome, have risen, are
crowned, glorified; but still they remain to us, our assistants, our
comforters, and in every hour of darkness their voice speaks to us."

Psychic Medium John Edward, Interview
This is a wonderful interview of psychic medium, John Edward by Fern Ronay. It's a long interview, but very enjoyable. I just listened to it again. I believe I have posted previously on my blog, but that's okay.
I believe he is the best psychic medium we have. His website is www.johnedward.net

Taylor Caldwell and her Writing
I had pulled the Jess Stearn book, The Search for a Soul: Taylor
Caldwell's Psychic Lives, (1973) from my book shelf a bit ago, as I had done a FB
post about author, Taylor Caldwell. In Stearn's
book, I had to smile and appreciate this, especially as a native Californian. In a discussion with Caldwell, he asked her if she wanted to be
hypnotized. She answered, "If anybody can manage it." He said, "If they can’t do it in California, it can't be
done anywhere." She replied,
"And why California,
pray?" With laughter, he said,
"The atmosphere is so electric out there that even the people think
they're spirits."
Taylor Caldwell's
writing intrigues me. I'll always remember a TV interview she did back in the
late 1950s, in which she spoke of not knowing where her ideas came from and
that she felt as if she was doing "automatic" typing, as if a
"Presence" (what she called it) guided her fingers. She often claimed
that she had no idea how the facts within her books came to her. It was
especially evident in her book, Dear and Glorious Physician, Later in a book by
Jess Stearn, she talked of the "Presence," who communicated with her.
She was also known to be psychic. That TV interview, which I watched with my
Dad, has always stuck with me--it fascinated me then, and now. Part of the
reason may be that I've always believed in past lives, and contact with the
other side, and having some psychic ability myself, makes it easier to understand.

Touched by Psychic Edgar Cayce
"Humanity is pleading, yearning for knowledge. Inquirers are still asking, 'If a man dies shall he live again? And if he live, why may we not know it?'" ~Dr. James Martin Peebles
Many years ago, I read the Edgar Cayce book, There is a River, the Story of Edgar Cayce by Thomas Sugrue, which, for me was probably life changing, offering
new perspectives on life and death.
I’m not sure what year I first read the book, maybe
late 1950’s. It is very possible my father had it in his paperback collection
when I was in junior high or high school. If I did not read it then, it would have
been not long after.
Dr. Christiane Northrup, M.D., best-selling author,
and in the past a frequent guest on Oprah, had this to say about Cayce:
"The story of Edgar Cayce has inspired me from the time I was 12 years
old. As one of the first well-studied medical intuitives, his work and his life
helped blaze the path for the future of medicine."
Cayce also helped blaze the path for spiritual
understanding and awareness. I have discovered that There is a River, has been life-changing
for many people. I’ve heard time and
again from friends, acquaintances, and from fan mail, how they felt so inspired
by the book, and that it
put them on a spiritual journey to new discoveries about life.
As my husband, Don Pendleton and I, wrote in our
book, Whispers From the Soul, the Divine
Dance of Consciousness, in regards to Edgar Cayce: “Whatever the source of
Edgar Cayce's spectacular gifts, they have provided new windows through which
ordinary people may perceive reality and often transform their lives. We all
are richer because of Edgar Cayce.”

Using Your Intuition for Well-being
Within our bodies we have a vast
communication network. It has been long
understood that the brain communicates with the body but recent medical
research is now showing that messenger molecules, the route through which
intelligence moves through the body, are intimately linked to every cell and
that a never-ending stream of information in both directions is moving between
the mind and body.
Our emotions must be regarded as
both physical and mental when we understand that there is intelligence, or
mind, in every cell of the body.
Every thought, emotion, image,
memory, and deed, effects the totality of our being, moment by moment. Within us lies the intelligence of not only
mind but body and soul, and we have the power to consciously influence facets
of that trinity.
Your natural intuition can help
you to know how your body is and what it would like you to know. Do you listen
to what your body is telling you? Do you
ask it what you should know? Are you aware of the energy flow
within your body?
The most meaningful and powerful
medicine you can receive is to allow your inner intelligence to speak to you,
and to listen.
Have there been times when your
body “told” you something and you choose to ignore its message?
Do you take advantage of
exercise, meditation, positive thought, good sleep, and good nutrition to help with stress, worry, frustration, and
work?
Do you allow your body, mind,
and spirit the needed time for rest, nourishment, and restoration.
Do you strive for a joyful
attitude?
Quiz: As you look over these comments
decide how they apply in your life and rate them: Always, Often, Never.
1. I overwork.
2. I get a good night’s sleep.
3. I have a chronic physical condition that I
monitor carefully.
4. I am often accident prone.
5. I often have headaches.
6. I often have muscle tension.
7. I exercise regularly.
8. When I have a cold or the flu I rest.
9. I awaken looking forward to a new day.
10. I eat meals on a regular schedule.
11. I listen to my intuition.
12. I put trust in my inner-knowing.
13. I am aware of energy within my body.
14. I am in tune with my body.
15. I am open to receiving messages.
16. I love the synchronicity of life.
17. I give out positive thought and energy.
18. I feel joy in being alive.
19. I create my reality with my perceptions.
20. I know who I am and what my gift is to
give.

Orbs in my Grandfather's One-Room Schoolhouse
This is the interior of an old barn that was once a
one room schoolhouse in Gilbert, Iowa.
The school had originally been on my great-grandparents farm land in Gilbert, Iowa. My grandfather, Arthur, and his older brother,
Roy, attended school there in about 1894-1899.
The schoolhouse was moved across the highway at some point in those early
years and became a barn when school was moved into town. The photos were taken for me in recent years by
a couple who lived nearby in Gilbert and offered to send me photos. As you see, orbs fill the photo. Could it be that my ancestors are visiting
the one room schoolhouse?--And maybe they purposely (personally) made their
presence visible for me?

The Energy of Intuition
“Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not
explain,
but simply points the way.”
~Florence Scovel Shinn (1871-1940), Author
but simply points the way.”
~Florence Scovel Shinn (1871-1940), Author
It
is my hope that we are now coming into an age of new spiritual understanding
where we can welcome and accept the gift of Aknowing@ that we are often given, no matter how subtle that
gift may be. We are immortal, eternal
spirits.
Those
gifts not only make life more joyous, grief easier, but help to remove the fear
of death that has been placed culturally as an obstacle to spiritual growth and
understanding. We do know who we are. We just have to bring that knowing, our
remembrance, to the forefront. An
increasing number of people are achieving that while in the body. And for those who do not rediscover the
knowing, they will know without doubt one day, as they pass into another state
of being.
It is wise to use our intuition to access our body’s
subtle energies for greater wellness. This sacred energy is with us at birth,
throughout life, and continues after death—it’s a marker of our soul’s journey.
We must learn to draw upon it.
We
all may use our intuition for guidance, and for the wealth of knowledge that
can be revealed to us from the spirit world.
We must learn to listen with our gut instead of our heads. We must learn to listen with our hearts
instead of our minds, and we must believe in our intuitive sense.
So
the next time your intuition speaks to you, listen, trust in it, and be guided
by it. The sense of comfort it brings is
very well worth it.
~Linda
Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, One of a Kind.
It
has been many years now since psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross stuck her neck
out among her peers with her ideas on death and dying, and she dedicated her
life to teaching about grief and how to handle terminal illness. What she brought to the world of medicine was
a spiritual understanding, and enforced that not only with her patients, but in
her classes, lectures, seminars, and books.
I was lucky enough to know Elisabeth personally and she was one hell of
a woman. She worked hard. She had a beautiful sense of humor, was an
intelligent, intuitive, compassionate, and spiritual person. And yes, she talked with spirits, (spooks, as
she called them). I have much respect
and admiration for her and how she stood up for what she believed in, and at a
time when her beliefs were not the norm, at least in our hospitals in this
country. She was one of a kind, a very
beautiful soul.
The
first time I saw her on television was in 1969 or so, when her now-classic book
On Death and Dying came out. I was awed by her
then and fascinated by the ideas she presented in her book. Her work, her books, and her lectures, have
touched millions and millions of people over the years. What she gave us is precious, and for many of
us, a new understanding about the process of death, about the afterlife, and
about grieving our losses, before and after a life ends in the physical
dimension.
For anyone who would like to know more abut Elisabeth's life, I would suggest her fascinating autobiography, The Wheel of Life: A Memoir of Living and
Dying,
and, of course, any or all of her other books, including her last one, co-written with David Kessler, On Grief and
Grieving: Finding the Meaning of Grief
Through the Five Stages of Loss.
But
even now, a few years after her death, when I think about her, and write about her, it brings a smile to me, almost a chuckle, as I recall some humorous
comments she made on an afternoon visit I made to her home in Arizona, at a
time following her stroke.
Having
spent private time with Elisabeth and having personal conversations has been a highlight
of my life. Yes, indeed.
