Linda, you must have worked with clay in a past life. Excellent. It's amazing what we can do when we are fully present with the task at hand.
I really liked the align thyself peice and this artists other work. The pendent looks cool too. All of this art is wonderful.
This final quote struck me: “Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second." People do tend to give up too easily and never challenge themselves. I think part of the problem is that schools and society don't teach the idea that one starts a discipline, which may be hard, to overcome the difficulties, in order to slip into a state of ease. Art, Cooking, Sports, and everything can lead to a state and feeling of Oneness. This feeling of Grace is what we all really want deep inside. This secret is either well hidden or is being hidden on purpose from the People.
Bernie,
Either a past life or I channeled a sculptor! I really enjoyed working with the clay. Maybe one day I will get back to art.
I’m glad you enjoyed seeing the various sculptures. Both men are very talented.
You are right that some people give up too easily, sometimes out of fear of success, or even fear of failure. I think some also have had it pounded into their heads, often in childhood, that they are not smart enough, or good enough.
Hi Linda, Yes you must have channeled a sculptor! It looked amazing. Your last two posts have really brought "creativity" into my awareness. Thanks!
Wonderful work, Linda. I'm not surprised that you could do this. You are a very creative being and I am sure you could do anything you put your mind to.
