A Look at President Jimmy Carter via Spirit Guide Dr. Peebles, from the Book "To Dance With Angels" by Don and Linda Pendleton

Excerpt from To Dance With Angels by Don and Linda Pendleton.  Published originally in 1990, a conversation with spirit guide, Dr. Peebles in regards to President Jimmy Carter.  We recently are hearing much about President Carter, his newly published autobiography, and his fight with cancer at this late point in his life, and yet he's out there building homes for Habitat for Humanity, so I thought this was worth sharing now for those who have not read To Dance With Angels.  He was President from 1977-1981. In 2002, President Carter received the Nobel Peace Prize for his work "to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development."  He has done much for peace and humanity since leaving the White House.

"QUESTION: My question is about Jimmy Carter. When he was in office as president, it was my perception that he was ahead of his time, that he was too honest, almost embarrassingly honest to most of us, and that he wished more for a sense of cooperation and sharing in the world. We voted him in and yet we booted him right out again. And I'm wondering what is the significance of that moment in history."

"DR. PEEBLES: God bless you. There is great truth in what you say. It's also true that he was a little behind the times in some ways. He was ahead of his time in that he did seek increased communication, he did seek to receive other points of view rather than to deny them or control them. He did seek unity.
Now, his moments of confusion at times were that he unconsciously defined union as agreement rather than allowance of disagreement. As well, he had understandable concern about violence. His definition of peace, unconsciously—referencing our earlier statement—leaned toward less noise rather than an amplification or a coloration of new communications.
So on the one hand he was seeking increased communication, and yet on the other there was a certain avoidance of conflict that was justified as a desire for peace.
Very understandable. But yet it's not complete. Not just Jimmy Carter, but the nation of people. It is a collective view regarding peace that we speak of. And he did incorporate that.
Yes, overall I would say he was more ahead of his time than of his time or behind. He had his own lessons, but he was a vision of the future in many ways. I agree. The lesson of history, at that time, was to reevaluate the nature of peace. He stimulated people through suggestion, indirectly, to continue thinking about what does peace mean—what do we really want?—what is our true motivation? For his ongoing rhetoric and honesty was to have peace—but what does that mean, for goodness gracious sake? There's only five letters in the word—what does it mean?
And so the lesson of history will look back and see that here was a peacemaker who inadvertently was inspiring people to reevaluate the nature of peace, and how that quantifies with increased and decreased communication, honesty and dishonesty. Yes, he was a leader. As history looks back, it will see this gentleman as someone who was underestimated."

Body Magic

A meditation is a disciplined focus which encourages the mind to travel a specific path of thought toward a desired result.  One may wish to meditate upon the nature of the divine and one's own relationship to it or may wish to merely create a state of total relaxation which would be conducive to some desired physical or mental result.
Transcendental Meditation, a discipline for heightened awareness, which originated more than five thousand years ago with the ancient Vedas of India, has been practiced in Western society since its introduction to the United States by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1959.  TM® is widely accepted by Western cultures today for its ability to reduce stress and promote physical and mental health.  The major objective of TM is an intimate association with pure awareness,  practiced with dedication on a daily basis.  During its heyday, many U.S. corporate managers promoted the program among their executives as a means of reducing stress and increasing productivity and creativity in the work place.  A much less ritualized version of TM has been practiced by many individuals of all walks of life. The mere concept of meditation has found considerable favor as a result of the popularity of TM and though the more stylized approach has been left behind by many, meditation has found a place in the awareness of millions of Westerners who seek primarily to have an occasional refresher from the stress of everyday life and some sense of connection with the infinite.
As it is most commonly practiced today, meditation is usually associated with the processes of visualization and/or a tranquil dialogue with the body wisdom.  Rather than the chanting of mantra's, one may prefer to visualize a tranquil setting and a journey to that location while clearing the mind of random clutter and simply attempting to focus on some desired goal or effect.  Many use the opportunity to contact their spiritual teachers or angels for guidance.  Some use this quiet time for exploring their innermost thoughts and recording them in a diary or journal while others focus on an expansion of their creativity.
In the most sublime sense, this is a dialogue with the body/mind wisdom and therein lies the most effective and most productive use of such time.

20 Ways to Avoid Sedona's Red Rock Fever, Stay Away, But if You Insist! by Linda Pendleton

"Linda Pendleton skillfully combines wit with visual artistry through her description of magical Sedona. I think I just caught the Red Rock Fever bug!" ~Athena Demetrios, Author of The Seasoning of A Soul

Thanks to Athena Demetrios for this wonderful quote for my new book, a humorous travel guide of Sedona Arizona.  I began writing the book and drawing my Red Rock critters more than a decade ago, while living in Sedona.  Decided to finish it and publish, and was pleased to have this from Athena.  She understands my humor, as I do hers.  We laugh a lot during our conversations.  That's what friends are for.

Communicating With Your Spirit Guides and Angels

A number of years ago, spirit guide Dr. James Martin Peebles had spoken to us about the coming increase in contact with the spirit world. He had told us that more and more people would be having experiences which would validate the existence of spirit. He said that communication with the other side would become a normal, acceptable way of every day life and that the illusion of separation would become thinner–in other words, the veil between worlds would become more transparent.

As I have said in recent times, I see that happening. I have spoken to many people who have had mystical experiences. One cannot help but notice the upsurge in the hunger for spiritual material which is being filled by the publication of many books on spiritual subjects, everything from angels, miracles, near-death experiences, the body/mind/soul connection, and extraterrestrials, and which also has found its way onto the television and movies screens with great success.

Intercommunication between the two worlds, our earthly world and the world of spirit, is taking place.

Victimhood

Dr. James Martin Peebles, spirit guide, on Victimhood, from the book Three Principles of Angelic Wisdom by Linda Pendleton:

"By understanding that you are, indeed, the creator of your life, it returns power, respect and love–beginning with self.  The illusion of separation then becomes smaller and self becomes larger.  Self-doubt leaves, and self-worth returns.  You no longer feel helpless or hopeless as self-empowerment returns.

But the paradox.  By claiming your power you also have to claim self-responsibility for your life and, in doing so, you claim responsibility for your every action, thought and deed.

That is a big one–thought.  Your every thought has a reaction.  But you say, No one knows my thoughts except me!  Wrong.  Thoughts are real.  Once they are put into form within your mind, they are an energy, and energy moves and energy does.  They are a force, a reality, and become a part of the universe.  Of course, your actions and deeds have not only an impact on others but on self.  And often, more on self, than others.

Using Our Powerful Internal Communication Network

Using Our Powerful Internal Communication Network
By
Linda Pendleton

“The soul of man is immortal and imperishable.”
~Plato (c. 428–348 B.C.)

Our body knows things that our minds often do not.  One of the simplest techniques for private problem solving is to simply and firmly state the nature of a problem and request a solution while in a meditative state.  To engage in an inner dialogue will often reveal the answers we seek.
Body, mind, and spirit all work in tandem–each aware of the others, and each with an intelligence of its own, but interconnected like the fibers of a powerful communication network.  Every human being expresses a trinity of wisdom.  For far too long, many have tended to see different aspects of themselves as separate entities without representation among the other aspects.  This idea has been breed into us as the combined forces of science, medicine, and religion have encouraged us to see the separate pieces instead of a corporate whole.
It had become convenient to think of this trinity as three separate entities but recent studies are describing a unity where body, mind and spirit (or soul) are all present in the organizational field of the physical body itself.
It is unfortunate that it is still uncomfortable for some to include spirit or soul as an essential element of the human organism because soul itself undoubtedly has much to say about how the trinity of the body manifests itself in full awareness.
In fact, it could be suggested that soul is the preeminent cause of all effects and is therefore that which produces the trinity, itself indissolubly woven into and superior to body and mind.
Psychiatrist Brian Weiss, for many years now has engaged in past life regressions for the benefit of his patients.  He discovered in working with his patients under hypnosis that some of them have recalled past lives.  Often the events of a past life have carried forward into this lifetime, resulting in physical or psychological disorders.  Dr. Weiss has documented several of these cases in his books, beginning with his first, Many Lives, Many Masters. Dr. Weiss continues to lecture, hold workshops and write books.
If it is true that recall of past life experiences can have a profound effect upon the psychology and even the physiology of a living being, then we must consider the importance of the soul, which is ever present and ever participating in those life experiences.  The soul brings with it memories that may far predate the incarnation into this life dimension.  It now appears that not only memories, but the physical constituents of matter itself are somehow retained as a living presence within the soul even before the birth of the body which is to clothe it.  The body-mind-soul connection should therefore be seen as both a physiological and psychological presence which accounts for the day by day expression of reality encountered in the human sphere.
British Biochemist Rupert Sheldrake, in discussing his morphogenetic fields, regards those fields as living universal influences that exist independent of physical matter, but nevertheless continually effect all processes of nature with their world-transcendent properties.  He sees the laws of nature as not actual laws per se, but rather the habits of nature.
There is a strong resonance with similar ideas expressed decades earlier by Gustof Strömberg in his book, Soul of the Universe.  Strömberg, an American of Swedish birth, was an astronomer and astrophysicist associated with the Carnegie Institution's Mount Wilson Observatory.  His stunning thesis is a prime example of genius unacknowledged in the context of its time.  Perhaps it took an Albert Einstein to recognize it.  Einstein's cover blurb for the jacket of Strömberg’s book reads, “Very few men could of their own knowledge present the material as clearly and concisely as he has succeeded in doing.”  In his native Sweden, Strömberg was highly respected and the flags throughout Sweden were flown at half-mast in observance of his death in 1962.  Here is a brief sample of Strömberg's vision:
“Matter and life and consciousness have their roots in a world beyond space and time.  They emerge into the physical world at certain well defined points or sources from which they expand in the form of guiding fields with space and time properties.  Some of the sources can be identified with material particles, and others with the living elements responsible for organization and purposeful activity.  Some of them exist in our brain as neurones, and some of them have a very intimate and special association with their ultimate origin.  They are the roots of our consciousness and the sources of all our knowledge.”
Earlier in his writings, Strömberg had observed, “All our mental characteristics and faculties have their origin in the non-physical world.  There lies the origin of our sensations of light and colors, and of sound and music.  There is the origin of our feelings and emotions, and of our will and our thoughts.  There is the source of our feelings of satisfaction and bliss, and of guilt and remorse.  Our nerve cells seem to be the links which connect our physical brain with the world in which our consciousness is rooted.  At death our brain field, which during our life determined the structure and functions of our brain and nervous system, is not destroyed.  Like other living fields it contracts and disappears at death, apparently falling back to the level of its origin.  All our memories are indelibly engraved in this field, and after our death, when our mind is no longer blocked by inert matter, we can probably recall them all, even those of which we were never consciously aware during our organic life.”
It is interesting to see how both the scientific and philosophical points of view today seem to be moving toward complimentary conclusions about the universe and man's place in it with much more coherence than ever noted before.  Many brilliant thinkers, poets, philosophers, medical doctors, physicists, and scholars are all bringing forward a sharper focus on the nature of reality.  Side by side with science, we have had this quieter explosion of spiritual investigation and discovery.
It seems certain that popular physics will soon discover and celebrate the universal essence of all life everywhere and introduce a more realistic view of the human reality.
To know thyself, in all the self's intrinsic majesty, is to know the whole.  The fragmentary self is the weak self.  Let us all make an effort to not fragmentize ourselves, for the fragments may never contain the full expression of who we are.

UFO Odyssey, Off-Earth Beings to the Rescue?

Are we alone in the universe? Most people believe that we are not. Nearly 80 percent of Americans believe the government is not telling us all they know about UFO activity.

Could the Earth’s much needed healing be part of another planet’s mission? Are off-earth beings here to help, or to hinder the human race? Can we unlock the long held secrets and mysteries about extraterrestrial life? Research and polls indicate that at least one in seven persons have had a UFO experience of some kind. Abductions, sightings, crop circles—messages from beyond? And why are we being denied disclosure?

What has science, technology, professional investigations, and history, revealed?

150 Years of Spiritualism

“The veil that clouds your eyes shall be lifted by the hands that wove it.”  ~ Kahlil Gibran

In many ways, it appears that not much has changed in over two hundred years.  Many of us are still searching for answers about life:  Who are we? Why are we here?  What happens when we leave here?  Will we see our loved ones again?  And for some, the questions may be broader such as:  Have I been here before?  Will I return at some future point?  Why did I come back?

In about 1850, Spiritualism reached a high interest and continued for a number of years, not only in America, but world-wide. The poets, philosophers, artists, politicians of the time, along with the ordinary man and woman, in surprising numbers came to accept spirit communication as a comforting and fulfilling life experience.

Within Linda Pendleton's book, you will read about the early days of Spiritualism, and how it became a new era that brought with it a profound understanding of human destiny after death, and of the relationship between heaven and earth.

Many historical figures considered themselves Spiritualist, some more openly than others. One of our greatest Presidents, Abraham Lincoln communicated with spirit on the Other Side through mediums and referred to spirit as “our friends from the upper country.” It has often been said his writings and speeches were inspired by spirit, especially his Emancipation Proclamation.

Letting Go of Victimhood

Excerpt from Linda Pendleton's Three Principles of Angelic Wisdom.

"If we awaken each new day with enthusiasm and joy instead of with an apprehension that the world will attack us today, will not our inner world be more peaceful and harmonious?  Do we fear our world and consider it to be filled with uncertainty or do we embrace it with excitement and consider it to be filled with delicious mysteries?  Do we feel that happiness is not ours, or do we acknowledge that happiness is a state of mind?  Our mind.

"Are we prepared to disavow victimhood and acknowledge that we are empowered to create our world to our choosing?  Reality is our creation and when we are able to acknowledge and accept that to its fullest, not only do we become free, but it enables us to be the best we can be."

The Fabric of Eternity

"The perfect circle moves in finite space, around and around in the same place.  When you transform your circle into a spiral, you touch the fabric of eternity.  It is the spiral which spins, gathering all it needs on its journey, never-ending.  It is the DNA of life, it is love, never-ending, it is God-consciousness, the gossamer-threads which make up the cosmic All.  It is the trinity of consciousness, soul and God, all as One."  -Dr. Peebles, "Three Principles of Angelic Wisdom"  by Linda Pendleton

What Is An Angel?

What Is An Angel?
by Linda Pendleton

What is an angel, you ask?
They are messengers of love.
They are friends and companions.
They are teachers and guides.
They are the same as you.
They, just like you, are beings of Light.
They represent the Love of God,
Just as you do.
That is their place and that is your place.
They are here to help you understand
They are a part of God, just as you are.
Angels are here to help you understand your
journey Home.
They are here to help you understand who you are.
They are here to help you become the best you can be.
Angels help you understand that Love is All.
They will hold your hand in troubled times.
They will lead you toward peace.
They are with you, to bring comfort whenever needed.

Crop Circles and Objects in the Sky

"I’ve always believed the Crop Circles have been messages to us, almost a symbolic notification that we are not alone, and I feel the reason for the messages has to do with our treatment of Planet Earth and the environmental and nuclear threats that we pose for the universe.

"Are we alone?  I think not.  It has been an innate human nature, since the beginning of time to look beyond and above for answers to universal questions:  What is this all about?  Why are we here?  What is beyond?  Maybe at some time in the not too distant future all of us will know the answers about life beyond this planet, and our connection to it.

"We may think of ourselves as the “new kids on the block” but within the vastness of the cosmos could be far older civilizations active for millennia, greatly predating the human experience on Earth.  And if we look at our own advances in technology in the last few decades, it only makes since that “others” could be far beyond us in understanding how all of this works.
